From straw huts to Le Notre’s Versaille, architecture has defined culture and time. Architectural forms may identify a neighborhood, city, or country. At some point, these forms become so common and accepted that they lose their contemporary reference and transform into amalgamations of the many cultures that utilized them in the past. Such can be seen in the use of obelisks and pyramids from ancient Egypt to Las Vegas and the National Mall in Washington, D.C.

Perpetual Adaptation is a presentation of a photographic work by Francisco Mojica and a sculpture by Robert Andrade that presents parallel perspectives of how architecture has influenced cultural identity.
